| A Week After |

So it has been a week since I talked with my doctor, and my week has definately gotten better. These past few days have been great on me mentally and physically, and I am feeling great.
Wrestling wise, I am ready to go for next Saturday. I have been feeling much better physically and CJ Summers and I are going to go all out. I was very worried going into the match just because of my leg/back, but after today, I am feeling great about it. I don't need vicodin all the time anymore, which is good. In fact, the only time I really take vicodin is on a school day because I have to sit there for an hour and twenty minutes four times in a row and then it starts to hurt. When I am not in school, I use asprin to help with the pain, and I take it maybe three times a day total, which is a lot less then when I used to do when this first started. I still think I may need the surgery to remove the tissue around the disk, but I will know more after Thursday when I see the neurosurgeon. The best part about me feeling a lot better is that I may be able to wrestle the show in December, which is extremely awesome, because it is a match I absolutely want extremely bad and would love to do. So here is to hoping for the best.
School isn't as bad as I thought. got things taken care of with financial aid. I looked at my FAFSA form and my tax returns to compare numbers, and I believe the guy that did my FAFSA made a mistake and accidently typed in $13,448 instead of $3,448 for total amount of money earned for the year. I had to get a special form from the school and submit it with my tax papers and the Financial Aid office will compare, and if it was a mistake, I will get my loan money which will help for the holiday season. So again, here is to hoping for the best.
I just hope this good luck streak keeps on going and I think it will. Next Saturday will be an awesome day guaranteed. Everything is taken care of ride wise for the show, everybody is set for ring crew, everybody is excited for their matches, it should be a fun environment. I believe we all may be getting together after the show to grab a bite to eat, which is cool, very seldom we all get to go out as a group and have fun. I am staying overnight at the Aaron Alexander residence, which should be fun. Alexander is one of the nicest and coolest guys I have ever met in my life. We always have fun just hanging out and talking about all sorts of things, both wrestling and personally, so it should be a fun time indeed.

You know, I was going to wait until after N.E.W. Criminal Intent on November 11th to post this, but I decided to say screw it and post this now, since I know people will be asking about this. Tonight, I got the results of my MRI for my leg pain, and they weren't that great. With that being said, let me get into the details of it.
Their is a cord that goes through my spine and connects with my sciatic nerve. Now, pressure is being put onto the nerve, and the pressure is coming from a disc with a fatty type tissue buildup. They aren't 100% sure if the disc is out of place or not, but they do know that their is a tissue buildup causing pressure onto the nerve.
I need to get ahold of my doctor on Monday to figure out what I am going to do next. I am going to be referred to a neurosurgeon as well as another specialist to get looked over more about this. Their is a chance I may need back surgery to remove the tissue and/or correct the problem with the disc.
As of right now this is all up in the air and I won't know more until I get checked out from the neurosurgeon and find out more.
As far as wrestling, I am pretty much done. My last match is on November 11th, and after that match I am going to eb done for atleast 6 to 8 months possibly, it all depends right now.
Right now I would just like to thank everybody who has helped me within the wrestling world. From my very beginning in wrestling until now, I have encountered a number of people who have helped me and made wrestling worthwhile, and for that I am extremely grateful. I have had a blast, and while I have also had my downs within wrestling, people have always been there to help me and make it all worthwhile in the end.
To everybody I ever stepped into the ring with, thank you. You all have helped me and made me a better wrestler and overall person outside of wrestling. I am very thank ful and appreciative for everything given to me, and I can never repay you all.
To the fans, thank you for supporting local wrestling. It doesn't matter if you hated me or cheered for me, just the fact you supported me and the wrestlers on the shows, it means a lot. Hopefully one day I can be back in the ring performing for you again.
I will still be around from time to time, so you can always catch up with me at shows. As far as getting back into the ring after the show in November, I don't know when I will be able to, but damnit I will step into that ring again and do what I do best.
So in closing, thank you to all the wrestlers and fans that have helped me to have the time of my life. |

| A Roller Coaster Type Week |

This week has been a huge roller coaster for me. So much has happened that I know I won't be able to remember everything, but I will give it my best shot to talk about things.
Lets start with Tuesday, when this all started. I get a call on Monday night saying my boots should be at my house on Tuesday. I was excited because I really wanted these for the show, which was on Saturday. However, UPS left a note saying they will try to deliver on Wednesday since nobody answered the door. They came here on Wednesday and their were no laces, which pissed me off, because now I had a task to find laces that would work for the boots.
That takes me to Thursday. I called Brenda, the lady who is now making my gear, and I ask her about the tights she was making for me. She says she has them started and is trying to finish them. I asked her if she could drop off just the singlet to my house and I would wear just that for the show. She says ok, she will drop it off Friday when she gets out of work.
So I call her on Friday, and she is at home, she hasn't done the singlet yet, she got caught up at the airport with her brother who was coming in from Tokyo. I understand about not being able to see family all the time when they are all over the place, so I told her it was ok, and she said she would do the singlet right away and drop the stuff off Saturday morning to the school or at the venue since she will be in town anyway.
Saturday morning comes and I get a call and she says she will be at the venue around 3. Later that day she calls back and says she will try to be there by 5:30/6. I am stressing out hoping she will show up and when. I had my old stuff to wear, but I didn't want to wear it at all and would have much rather had the new stuff. Anyway, I had no choice but to get dressed in my old stuff for the meanwhile. I was the sixth match on the card officially going into the show. Anyway, during the fourth match she was able to show up with it, which made my night. I quickly got changed into the singlet and I loved it. However, I just found out my match was bumped up one and I was now the fifth match. So my stuff got there just in time and I was able to get ready which was awesome.
The match was a tag team lethal lottery match, Kriptic and Johnny Kadillac vs. Tommy Mandrake and myself. It was an ok match, nothing great, but pretty decent. I wound up killing Kriptic with a giant full nelsen slam and a sick looking tiger driver to help our team get the win. Another highlight for me was the E. Honda thousand hand slap spot I did with Kriptic when I took him in the corner and just proceeded to chop him like rapid fire. After the match Lamar Braxton Porter ran out and Portered Tommy, and when I went to check on him I wound up getting Portered as well, which sucked. But now it looks like in December I may be wrestling Porter which is awesome, as I am really looking forward to it. Out first encounter wasn't the best, but we both improved and now we will have a kick ass match, I can feel it.
I think the most memorable part of the show was their was no power in the building. Around 4pm I was in the ring with Kriptic wrestling a bit and a loud bang took place and the power went out. Around 5:30 generators were set up outside and we were able to use a spotlight or two as well as a few lamps to provide light. I loved how it looked because it reminded me of the old arenas from the 80s with the dim lighting. And we had a good 125-150 fans there, I don't have an exact number, I didn't count, and they were hot all night. One of the highlights was during the Tyger Smith vs. Mat Bomboy match the generators ran out of gas and the lights went out in the building. All the fans started to cheer and scream and used any type of light they had access to, i.e. cell phones and mini flashlights and used them to light up the ring area as the match continued, and afterwards the fans started loud N.E.W. chants. Not one fan left the building and got disappointed, they loved every minute of the action. This was by far one of the best shows put on by N.E.W. and as far as I know we are the only fed in Rochester to have ever ran a show when their was no power and have a great loud crowd.
The day after the show, Sunday, wasn't the best day though. In order to understand though I need to backtrack a few months. July 14th I was at my summer job as a camp counselor and was playing soccer with the kids. I came home and my leg started to hurt me, and I figured it was a muscle sprain. So I wrestled two days later at Supremacy in the tag team bullrope match, and then wrestled six days after that at OSPW against TSK in a hardcore match. My leg still hurt so I figured it was just aggravated a lot and I took some advil and rested it. The pain started to go away a little bit, but then came back towards the end of August, after wrestling at OSPW and N.E.W. again. School started in September and it started to get much worse then. I figured I did something to it again and the combination of sitting in hard chairs for an hour and twenty minutes for four classes in a row, combined with the crappy seats on the bus helped to make it worse. So it kept hurting and I made a promise to myself that after the show this weekend I would get it checked out.
Anyway, Sunday morning I woke up. I was laying on my back on the ground and it took me half an hour to get up. I had to try rolling over to my stomach to crawl up. It hurt extremely bad and I was in tremendous pain, and it sucked. My mom immediately called the doctor and I was told to go the emergency room and they would look at it and give me an MRI right there to see what was wrong. So I got showered and went to the emergency room. They looked at me and point blank said I will not be getting an MRI but said it was definitely the sciatic nerve that was hurting me but they didn't know why. They gave me a prescription for vicodin and said I was done there and I can go home.
I took two vicodin and three Advil like instructed when I got home. My mom called my regular doctor at home to tell him about the MRI to see what he would say, and he called the hospital and then told me to go back in and get one and they will take care of me. So I had to go back in later that night and again I wasn't going to get one, but the doctor that night worked on me a little bit more and checked my out to see if I had a possible disc problem. HE couldn't feel one which was good. He explained why the MRI couldn't be done. Basically they had nobody to run it and my case wasn't a life or death situation so it was against their practice to open it up to give me one. He was really cool and he gave me a prescription for muscle relaxers to see if it will help the muscles in that area to see if it is a muscle pressing on the nerve.
Basically I am on the vicodin and advil and muscle relaxers to help the pain. I can;t wrestle for a bit and we will see if that helps. I am going to take the rest of October off and come back in November. I plan on wrestling on the 11th at N.E.W. Criminal Intent against CJ Summers, but until then I need to take it easy and just rest as much as possible.
Thursday I have an appointment to go to the doctors to see how bad it is. If he thinks I need an MRI he will order one, and I have a feeling he will order one, just to be safe and see what is wrong. If it turns out that something severe is happening, I won't be wrestling for a while. I think it will be fine, but who knows.
Anyway, that has been a crazy week for me. Right now I am out to go play more Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.
